Aaron Holland has been performing and drinking in and around Chicagoland since 2004. He’s had the pleasure of working with everyone from Emerald City and Chicago Children’s Theatre Company, to Hell in a Handbag, Steppenwolf and Bailiwick Chicago. Most recently, he got to get down in Seuss town with Chicago Shakespeare. Joining the Actor’s Equity Association a couple years ago has freed up a lot more time for drinking in Aaron’s life! You can follow his Wineventures and hear his crazy ramblings on Youtube every week in his vlog: Aaron’s Wonderful World of Funemployment! Aaron also writes plays and musicals; most […]

Alex has been drinking since the ripe legal age of 20 and spent many weekends without alcohol trying to convince himself he wasn’t totally reliant upon it. He bought it hook, line, and sinker and has now given himself permission to sit with a glass of red wine every night or a bourbon on the rocks if he’s playing dirty. Alex played day-drunk Yente awhile back and called a Chase Bank to hook his roommate up with a banker who would later become a significant beau in her life. So this justifies all of his drinking ever and all of the […]

Amy Malcom has been a professional drinker since the age if 18…ahem…21. (Let’s just say she received her drinking cerificate, or ticket if you must, at the age of 19.) You may have seen her drinking at the bars in Chicago or Milwaukee area or in the mountains of Colorado, just to name a few. When she’s not drinking in anyr of these places or alone/with her husband and cat at home, she is an actor and teaching artist. (You’ve probably seen her drinking more places than acting in shows…) One day she hopes to not fall asleep instantly after […]

Singing. And drinking. Two of Amy’s most favorite things in the whole world! Amy is so excited to be a part of the After Party phenomenon. A singer, songwriter and actress, she has enjoyed singing and playing (and drinking, probably) in cabarets, theatre and the like all over the country for the past ten years. She also enjoys teaching private singing, acting and piano to kids a few days a week, which typically leads to more drinking afterwards, because what else are you supposed to do in that situation? Shout out to her amazing family, friends and Nikki, who, if […]

Andrew loves to occasionally get blackout drunk and wake up in a dumpster in Connecticut. It all started in high school, when his German exchange student friend, snuck in rum to a sleepover and everything got LIT. Usually, he drinks cheap wines and sangrias until he inevitably shatters his glass on the ground. He has been known to shoot whiskey and sometimes vodka, and then chase with some type of fruity b*tch drink, like a Seagrams or a Mike’s Hard Lemonade. Andrew loves watching movies, playing with his dogs and having a crippling chemical addiction to sweet, sweet Irish whiskey. When […]

Annie always intended to be the Judy Garland of our day, but fell into a vat of tequila and came out more like Mickey Rooney. She can be seen all around town as a member of Andrew Sa and His Organic Sound. Her first solo project, The Age of Not Believing, reimagines lullabies and will be out…eventually?

Although Bobby’s typical recent theatrical ventures err on the side of the non-performance (he is the acting Producing Director of Circle Theatre and founding company member of (re)discover theatre), don’t fret: he does have professional experience working in the Chicagoland area. Dedication would be the ideal word to describe his attitude towards everything he does – drinking is no exception to that. Having been an avid whiskey-lover for 5 deceptively-short years, he hasn’t always had a mature palate seeing as one of his first experiences with alcohol was at a high school party and he thought, “hmm…the bright blue drink […]

After meeting at a festival in Italy circa 2010, Kit Satoh and Elizabeth Newkirk didn’t actually become compatible as friends without the help of their German friend Spaten (READ: Beer) and some pizza. Founding their duo called Bow & Hammer after a holiday celebration in 2012 flowing with wine, they’re still holding strong together, performing classical music around Chicagoland. Bow & Hammer is partial to collaborating with the Food Industry, which makes some great events, and also fuels their constant thirst…for life. Their adventures have taken them through Italian wine, Chicago beers, lots of harder stuff, and helped them befriend […]

Brittany is a fan of dark rooms, including theatres and bars. She has performed with Porchlight Music Theatre, Griffin Theatre, Pride Films & Plays, Kokandy Productions, NightBlue, Theatre Unspeakable, and the Second City Training Center. She has written, produced and appeared in 2 original plays at the Public House Theatre, and she is currently working on a 3rd that will premier in June. She’s a graduate of Northwestern University, the School at Steppenwolf, and the Second City Conservatory. She’s currently studying improv at iO Chicago. She is tired and over-worked, so please, for the love God, get her a gin […]

Brittany took DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) in 5th grade and swore she would never drink until 21 and then MAYBE a glass of wine every now and then. At 18, Brittany began disappointing 5th grade Brittany on a regular basis. Brittany is an actor, writer, and comedian in Chicago and performs frequently at various venues around the city. She moved here from Colorado where she consistently would fall asleep face down on the floor at parties, showing her cute Aerie undies to everyone after having an entire bottle of Moscato to herself. Brittany prides herself in being a cheap […]

Chris has gone on tour a number of times. Brewery tours, winery tours, distillery tours, and an occasional tour of the Mariano’s beer cooler. Though he’s travelled far to consume a fresh drink or four, his favorite watering hole is at home or at a barbecue or a wedding or a Bears game or Ravinia or a Thursday. He can’t tell you which cheese goes best with which wine, but they both go best with anything. Cheers to you for supporting After Party and cheers to Micky for making it all possible.

Dana Omar is stoked to talk about booze. Her recent credits include HMS Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance at Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Mikado with The Hypocrites at American Repertory Theatre, Pirates of Penzance at American Repertory Theatre, All Our Tragic, All Our Tragic Remount and Cabaret with The Hypocrites and was recently seen on Chicago PD on NBC. When she’s not on stage, she’s seeking out wooden monkeys to see what kind of drinks might be inside. Finding these monkeys is harder than you think, especially in colder climates, but it’s something she finds incredibly important, so a great deal […]

David found how good life can be at the bottom of a bottle while living in El Paso, Texas, right on the Mexican border. Many a night spent in the bars of Juarez, Mexico started him on his lifelong love of tequila. While he can no longer handle tequila shots all night long, a good margarita is still tough to beat. Throw in some strawberries and toss it in a blender, and it’s heaven on earth. When not pursuing the perfect tequila-based concoction, David is a busy actor and director around town, recently directing The 39 Steps at Metropolis and […]

David has dedicated a lot of the last decade to teaching music and theatre: thus the need to unwind with a beverage or two is essential. Recently David played a tipsy vicar, a slightly wobbly monk and a party guest toasting for an entire 5 minute song in Theatre at the Center’s A Christmas Carol. David was music director and accompanist at Navy Pier’s Tall Ship production of Pirates of Penzance (blaming mistakes on the waves and not on the “special water bottle” under his bench). He’s also music Director at Bethany Union Church. David’s thrilled to be back at […]

Dom sincerely hopes that tonight you get Fun-Drunk-Dom and not Sit-In-Corner-And-Frown-Drunk-Dom. Either way, he thanks you for your patronage and for supporting his best friend, Micky York. He has worked around town for FWD*, Williams Street Rep*, The Second City*, Metropolis*, NightBlue*, Citadel*, and more*. He also is the founder of Lantern Theatre, sits on the board of FWD Theatre Project, is proudly represented by Shirley Hamilton Talent, and is engaged to make a wife of the stunningly well-crafted Katelyn Peters. If you’re heading to the bar, Dom would appreciate an Old Fashioned or a glass of the barkeep’s smokiest […]

Don didn’t touch the drink until he was nearly 30, and has subsequently spent the last few years making up for lost time. Because of his late bloom, he skipped Boone’s Farm, Jägar bombs and Natty Light, graduating immediately to the good stuff. He approaches drinking with the wide-eyed enthusiasm of a college freshman, but with legit adult hangovers. As soon as he discovered the adventures made possible by bonding over beverages, Don knew he had to quit his desk job in Michigan and immediately move to Chicago. He now earns money to pay for his drinking hobby as a photographer and a musician, two professions where excessive alcohol consumption […]

Elyse never answers honestly when the doctor asks her how many drinks, on average, she has in a week. Her two great loves are whiskey and bubbly straight from the bottle. She was recently promoted at her job at one of the fanciest bars in town because they were “impressed by her interest in the menu”. This is the first time anyone has ever noticed the amount she drinks (reminder: “impressive”) and then offered her money as a reward. Proof that dreams really do come true. Elyse attended Columbia College for musical theatre and then Kendall College for baking. She […]

Göran Norquist goes by many names: Gare Bare the Bear, Göran the Barbarian, Chief Dancing Bear, a lot of other Bear-related names, and of course you all know his motto of “It’s a Guarantee with Göran T.” (Because his middle initial is ‘T’) But most everyone just calls him Göran for short. Göran is known as the number one Beer Pong player in all of California (where the game originated) and you can’t dispute that because you’re not from there; so suck it, nerds. Nowadays he sticks mostly to the classier drinks of Old Fashioneds inspired by Don Draper, Scotch […]

Heather Townsend is a former lawyer turned proud wife, actor, and mother of two. Her most recent performance involved stylishly holding a margarita poolside at a wedding in Mexico, while wearing an immaculate white jumpsuit, as Micky sat on the ground next to the 24-hour snack bar feeding a raccoon. Other credits include her recent performance as Velma Von Tussle in Paramount Theatre’s Hairspray as well as productions with Mercury Theatre, Shattered Globe, Northlight, Remy Bumppo, Dog & Pony, Theatre Wit, Apple Tree, Next, and readings with the Goodman and Steppenwolf. Heather is delighted to serve as a Porchlight Music […]

After years of performing magic at various private engagements, Jeremy learned that a well-stocked after party is where his tricks seem to work best. So he’s excited to be joining the show. A lawyer by day, he passed the bar once, but hasn’t made that mistake since and enjoys a cheap whiskey cocktail.

James first began the drink early in life when, as a 10 year old in Montana, he snuck a mug-full of the cooking wine his mother bought but once a year to make her New Years Eve cheese fondue. Not learning from reprimand, his taste (and punishment) improved two years later on a family cruise when he drank the bottle of wine left in the cabin by the travel agent. Now decades later, a relocation to Chicago to pursue musical theater at Roosevelt University and a choice in drinking selection, his tastes have further improved to a solid “Dewars on the […]

Jameson received his education at Butler University, and had a burgeoning semi-pro career in Indianapolis before deciding to try to make it as a full-blown professional alcohol-drinker here in Chicago. Whether his shows have been in the winter or summer, fall or spring; whether the romantic lead in The Glorious Ones at ITC, or understudying a few shows at Theo Ubique; whether singing a song about sandwiches for an audience of children at Northbrook TYA, a song about drinking at Light Opera Works, or singing the Song That Goes Like This in Spamalot at JPAC, one thing has remained constant: during […]

Jason Richards drinks for a living. Sorry. Jason Richard acts for a living. Ok, Jason Richards acts. Originally from Detroit, he moved to Chicago a few years back and has no plans to leave this kick ass theatre town. You may have seen him on such stages as The Marriott, Porchlight Music Theatre, Kokandy Productions, Bailiwick Chicago and Chicago Shakespeare. Sometimes, he wakes up at an ungodly hour to perform for children. He even won one of those “Jeff Award” things you may have heard about! Despite attending them all his life, After Party is the first time Jason has […]

Jenna is honored to join the After Party! Her previous Chicago credits include City Winery (server), Roots Pizza (Barfly), and the Lakeshore path (Trespasser/Brown Bagger). When she’s not drinking, Jenna can be found in the Trader Joe’s wine aisle, trying to appear discerning, then leaving whichever bottle is the second cheapest. She trained at Drake University, where she developed an appreciation for both penny beers and 2-for-1 martinis. Many thanks to Mike, for putting her to bed after she passes out of the couch.

It could have been the kiwi-strawberry Boone’s Farm, or perhaps it was the frosty Old Style pilfered from her friend’s parents’ refrigerator, but Jessica’s boozy beginnings evolved into a series of life events that play out like a movie. Just like a Hollywood screenplay, some of her more memorable episodes include “Tequila Tuesday”, in which an underage teenager singlehandedly takes on Jose Cuervo by herself, and subsequently loses. There’s always the epic “Dude, Where’s My Tooth?” episode, and the cult-classic “Small Wonder”, where Jessica reprised the role of Vicki, a sharp-tongued robot girl who wakes up after blacking out in only a Small Wonder jacket. Jessica has always […]

Joe is an unparalleled freestyle rapper and has a scotch collection worth more than his rent payments because he drinks single malt whiskies from Islay – and if you don’t understand what that means you should buy yourself a bottle of Laphroaig so you can give it to him the next time you see him. He once out-smoked a cyborg-hybrid Snoop Dogg/Willie Nelson while sporting a punctured lung he received from a rather lively spat with Ann Coulter. You’ve probably heard his voice on the radio.

John is a proud actor and drinker around the greater Chicagoland area. He has his BFA (bachelor of flirty alcoholism) from Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Some of his performance credits include Mamma Mia (Marriott Theatre), insisting on a third sample of tequila (Mariano’s Grocery), Hairspray (Paramount Theatre), Sideshow (Porchlight Music Theatre), Big Fish, All Shook Up and Nice Work If You Can Get It (Theatre at the Centre), West Side Story (Drury Lane Theatre) and his longstanding run at the Hutch happy hour for $1 champagne. He hopes to see you there Monday – Friday 3:00-6:00!
